POTLUCK IFTAR, CHANTILLY, VA.

TAU organized a potluck iftar during the Holy Month of Ramadan which several members of the community attended. The evening was filled with plenty of conversation and good food brought by the generous community members to share in a month that emphasizes the importance of kindness and generosity. Individuals with various backgrounds and religious affiliations were present to show their unity with members of Turkic descent. The purpose of the iftar was to:
- Foster unity and understanding amongst fellow humans of various backgrounds
- Underscore a common Turkic ancestry and heritage
- Acknowledge the importance of the Holy Month of Ramadan, inviting the community to do so the same
- Continue spreading the universal messages of harmony, unity, understanding, community-building, compassion, adherence to moral values, and the preservation of culture
