VISION

Turkic-American Unity seeks to achieve the goals listed in its mission statement in various ways. Below is a brief list of the activities TAU is engaged in as a means of attaining these goals:

• Storytelling workshops enabling participants to successfully compile and narrate their cultural stories for both now and future generations to come
• Leadership workshops encouraging participants to incorporate quality into every aspect of their lives
• Workshops promoting healthy living
• Monthly meetings and volunteer-days encouraging young professionals and the youth to become involved in community-service (social projects)
• Events bringing awareness to a shared Turkic identity while celebrating the unique differences amongst these same Turkic groups
• Exhibits and seminars showcasing Turkic culture, art, history and language
• Collaborative events with other ethnic/cause-oriented communities, organizations and individuals of all walks of life seeking to foster peace, cooperation and understanding
• Promoting environmental awareness by organizing nature tours, planting trees, and leading pertinent workshops
